Alexander City Police arrest two in late March double homicide case

ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. – Alexander City Police Department investigators took two men into custody on Friday, charging them with two counts of capital murder and taken to the Tallapoosa County Jail to await a bond hearing in the case of a March 30th double homicide.

22-year-old Markeis Diquon Smart of Dadeville, and 19-year-old Jordan Hakeim Smart of Alexander City, were arrested Friday afternoon in connection with the shooting deaths of Fitzgerald Wilson, 19, and Rafiel Riggins, 20, on Monday, March 30th.

Both were charged with Capital Murder of Persons in a Vehicle. Markeis Smart was also charged with Sexual Abuse 1st Degree.
