CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Named in honor of the local Kiwanian that established the event, the Ben Nelson 5K Run/Walk has become an important tradition, promoting a healthy, active lifestyle while raising funds for the Childersburg Kiwanis programs that provide important support for children of the area.
You can register in advance before Monday, April 6 at Renasant Bank, Huntington/Cadence Bank, the Childersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, or online at runsignup.com.
It’s a little bit more money, but you can register the day of the event at Kiwanis Park from 6:45 a.m. until the 5K start at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 18.
The money raised goes towards maintenance of Kiwanis Park, scholarships, and plenty of other programs that support the children of the community.
