SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga Parks and Recreation has introduced the newest member of their team – Caleb Connelley, who will be joining forces with Kishawn McKinney as an Athletic Coordinator.
Connelley is a native of Sylacauga and graduated in 2019 from Coosa Valley Academy, where he played baseball, making all-county honors in sophomore and senior seasons.
He has a deep background and knowledge of youth athletics and sports and previously working for Prep Baseball Alabama and College Baseball Central. He was recently added as a D1Baseball staff member, managing their social media platforms.
Connelley also spent time with RadioAlabama Sports on the Comer Sports Network’s commentary team for two seasons, serving as a sideline reporter for football and color commentator for baseball.
He then became an assistant baseball coach at B.B. Comer. Caleb grew up playing in Sylacauga’s Cal Ripken League and was one of the first to participate when the league was introduced to the city.
“I’ve always been passionate about sports and [I grew up] playing youth sports in Sylacauga,” said Connelley. “I’m always looking for a way to give back to my community, helping the youth expand their skills and knowledge of sports.”
