CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Childersburg Parks and Recreation is accepting registrations for youth basketball and basketball cheer through Friday, Nov. 14.
Basketball is open to children ages six to fourteen, while basketball cheer is offered for ages five to twelve.
Registration costs $60 for basketball and $50 for cheer if the child already has a uniform. The fee is $100 for cheer participants needing a uniform. Players who live within the Childersburg Housing Authority receive half-price registration but must sign up in person and provide proof of residency.
Registration is available online at childersburg.recdesk.com or in person at the rec center, located at 300 First St. SE. Cash, check, credit, and debit cards are accepted in person. No phone or text registrations will be accepted.
Tryouts for ages six to eight will be held Monday, Nov. 17 at 6:00 p.m., and tryouts for ages nine to twelve are set for Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6:00 p.m. Coaching applications are also available online.
