PRATTVILLE, Ala. – Alabama District 88 Rep. Jerry Starnes recently made a contribution to Central Alabama Community College to support its mission of providing education and workforce training across the region, the school announced this week.
The gift demonstrates the partnership between Central Alabama Community College (CACC) and state leaders who have emphasized the role of community colleges in driving workforce development and economic growth.
CACC President Jeff Lynn said Starnes’ support reflects confidence in the college’s ability to prepare students for meaningful careers.
“We are grateful for Representative Starnes’ generosity and his belief in the mission of Central Alabama Community College,” said Lynn. “Community colleges are vital to creating pathways for students and preparing them for meaningful careers. This gift will help us continue to expand opportunities and make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.”
Starnes said he was honored to support the college’s work and praised the role community colleges play in strengthening communities.
“CACC and other community colleges provide opportunities that change lives and strengthen local communities,” said Rep. Starnes. “They are a key part of workforce training and higher education in our state.
The donation will support CACC’s campuses in Alexander City, Childersburg, Prattville and Talladega.
Founded in 1969, CACC offers associate degrees, technical training, and workforce development programs to students across central Alabama.
