CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Childersburg Parks and Recreation will light up the courts on Saturday, Aug. 16, with its Glow in the Dark Pickleball Tournament, sponsored by Curtis and Son Funeral Homes of Sylacauga and Childersburg.
The mixed doubles event will feature two divisions based on the combined age of partners: 89-and-under and 90-and-over. Play begins at 9:00 a.m. and continues until about 7:30 p.m.
Pool play will use rally scoring to 15 points, while bracket play will follow regular scoring to 11 points. Semifinals and finals will be best two-out-of-three games to 11.
The cost is $20 per player, and space is limited. Registration ends Tuesday, Aug. 12.

The tournament is part Curtis and Son’s back-to-school bash, giving participants a chance to enjoy friendly competition in a unique, illuminated setting.
