SYLACAUGA, Ala. – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:45 a.m. Sunday, July 27th, has claimed the life of a Madison woman. Zamaria T. Whetstone, 24, was fatally injured when the 2015 Hyundai Sonata she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Whetstone was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 148 near the 10 mile marker, approximately five miles from Sylacauga city limits, in Clay County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
