CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Bond was set at $500,000 on Wednesday, Oct. 2, for a Childersburg man facing a pair of Class A, along with a couple of Class C, sex crime felonies involving a minor.
52-year-old Robert Leon Gable has been charged with Rape in the First Degree, Sodomy in the First Degree, Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, and Incest in relation to a 2023 incident.
“We obtained some new evidence and brought the suspect in for questioning,” explained Childersburg Detective Micah Northcutt. “After that interview, we felt we had a strong case to move forward with prosecution.”
If convicted, Gable could face a total consecutive sentence of forty years to life behind bars.
