SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Southern Dance and Performing Arts Company (SDPAC) will hold auditions for its upcoming production of Little Women on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 19-20, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the SDPAC studios.
Directed by J. Patrick McDonald, the production is seeking to cast up to 12 female and three male actors. Male roles are open to those ages 15 and up, while most female roles will be filled by actors ages 12 and up, with potential spots for nine-year-olds.
Auditioning actors should prepare a one-minute monologue and participate in a cold reading from the Little Women script.
The story, set during and after the Civil War, follows the March sisters as they navigate life and grow as a family during their father’s absence.

The Southern Dance and Performing Arts Company, under SAFE’s umbrella, has been nurturing young talent in the community for nearly 20 years, offering comprehensive performing arts education with a focus on developing dynamic leaders and performers.
