SYLACAUGA, Ala. – After five years of business in Sylacauga, the discount retail store Dirt Cheap will close its doors on Saturday, Aug. 26.

Dirt Cheap arrived in Sylacauga back in the summer of 2018, opening in the vacated Kmart location on W Fort Williams St.

Multiple Dirt Cheap locations have closed throughout the year in Alabama, and now Sylacauga’s has been added to the list.

The store’s final day of operations will be Saturday, Aug. 26.

According to Dirt Cheap’s website, the discount retailer is “the largest buyer of insurance claims in the United States, offering items from manufacturer and retailer buybacks, closeouts, bankruptcies, overstocks, liquidations, customer returns and out-of-season goods.”
