SYLACAUGA, Ala. – This summer, the Sylacauga Community Playhouse (SCP) will present Finding Nemo Jr. with auditions slated for Monday and Tuesday, May 8-9.
Finding Nemo Jr. is a new, 60-minute adapted stage musical of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo with music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
Auditions for SCP’s Finding Nemo, Jr. will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, May 8-9, at the Maxye Veazey Senior Center, attached to the J. Craig Smith Community Center.
Children ages 6-18 can audition for a role no matter their experience level. If auditioning for a main character role, students are asked to attend both audition dates. This is not a requirement, but it is encouraged.
Registration will take place at 5:00 p.m. prior to each audition day.
If tryout callbacks are necessary, they will occur on Thursday, May 11.
SCP, part of Sylacauga Parks and Recreation, seeks to provide theatrical education, experiences, and quality entertainment throughout the community by creating theatre arts opportunities for all ages and those that are intellectually and physically challenged.
