Birmingham man dies in Friday morning Talladega Co. crash

TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – A single-vehicle crash at 6:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, claimed the life of a Birmingham man.

According to Alabama State Troopers, Booker T. Brown, 55, was traveling east on Interstate 20 when the 2018 Freightliner he was driving left the roadway, struck a parked vehicle in the emergency lane and overturned.

Brown, who Troopers say was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at the 167.6 mile marker, a half mile west of Lincoln, in Talladega County.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
