Talladega National Forest wildfire contained after burning 700+ acres

TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – A wildfire reported on Tuesday, Feb. 10 is completely contained near the Union T area, north of Union T Rd. and Fox Trot Rd. junction in Talladega County.

Firefighters with the U.S. Forest Service are now monitoring the wildfire that covers more than 700 acres in Talladega National Forest.

The U.S. Forest Service warns that there will likely be smoke in the area for the next several days.
