SYLACAUGA, Ala. – It’s that time of year, when Santa is making his list and checking it twice. For the students at Sylacauga’s Indian Valley Elementary School, there’s a large group that’s pitching in to help him.
The Sylacauga Airport Authority and Air Methods, famous for their LIfe Saver 4 helicopter, have rounded up a lot of support for something they’re calling “Operation Santa Drop” in Sylacauga.
They have the support of the Sylacauga Fire Department, the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department, the Sylacauga Police Department, and the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce.
“We’re proud to announce the arrival of Santa Claus in Sylacauga on Dec. 17 at 10:00 a.m.,” said Wade Pruitt, Chairman of the Sylacauga Airport Authority and Manager of the Municipal Airport. “Santa will arrive at the airport to get some work done on his sleigh and then fly by helicopter to Indian Valley Elementary School to visit the children and collect letters to take back to the North Pole, so he can make sure the elves can have those presents ready for Christmas Eve delivery!”
Come out and enjoy the Sylacauga Christmas Spirit! Show some love and support for all of our First Responders while you watch Life Saver 4 in action!
