COOSA COUNTY, Ala. – On Sept. 13, the Coosa County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a resident in the Ray community about possible human remains found on their property.
Deputies arrived on the scene at approximately 11:33 a.m. and immediately dispatched the Sheriff, Chief Deputy and Criminal Investigators.
Upon arrival, the area was secured, as the investigation began.
Investigators confirmed unidentified human remains had been found.
The Coosa County Coroner was dispatched to the scene to assess the victim, who was later transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
