HARPERSVILLE, Ala. – On Thursday, Coosa Valley Academy had the opportunity to pack over 12,760 shelf stable meals for children in need.
Partnering with Alabama Childhood Food Solutions, pre-k students decorated the boxes while elementary, middle and high schoolers, with the help of teachers and parent volunteers, worked together to fill each of those 12,760 bags.
Half of the meals will go to children in the community, and the other half to children in need across the United States.
During the last few months, CVA families have embarked on a peer fundraising campaign to not only raise the funds to complete this amazing service project, but to also pay for needed school and technology improvements.
A donation link is open until Oct. 1. You can give by texting COOSA to 71777.
