SYLACAUGA Ala. – Youth sports are returning to Sylacauga, but not all spring sports will be offered.

Sylacauga Parks and Recreation’s Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth league practices will start after Memorial Day, preparing to begin competition on June 15. However, the Bambino age division (3 and 4) will not be offered this season. Soccer will also not be offered this year due to the inability to maintain social distancing.

Soccer and Bambino participants will be issued a 100% refund, available Wednesday, May 27, after 12:00 p.m.

Athletes who choose to forego this season will be issued a refund. In order to receive a refund, the J. Craig Smith Community Center must be contacted by 5:00 p.m. on May 29.
