NORTH POLE — Santa’s offices at the North Pole have confirmed to SylacaugaNews.com that sleigh loading and flight preparations will begin just after midnight tonight, with live “Santa Cam” views available starting at 1:01 a.m. on Sunday.
Operated by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) at NORADSanta.org, video will continue to be streamed as Santa’s movements and activities are tracked through Christmas morning, including his visits in and around the Sylacauga area.
For people without easy internet access, live phone operators will be standing by toll-free at 1-877-446-6723 beginning at 5:00 a.m. on Sunday to answer questions about Santa’s current location. They will also respond to email requests sent to [email protected].
Since 1955, NORAD has tracked Santa’s annual movements as he leaves the North Pole and delivers presents to children around the world. NORAD is a combined organization of the United States and Canada that provides aerospace warning, air sovereignty, and protection for Northern America.
