SYLACAUGA, Ala. – There is something for everyone the week of Halloween in Sylacauga. From Fall Festivals at churches to trick or treating, there is plenty to do to keep yourself occupied. The best part is you do not even have to leave Sylacauga.
On Tuesday, Blue Bell will hold its Trunk or Treat at Central Park in Sylacauga. Children ages 12 and under are invited to attend. The event is free and children must be accompanied by an adult. Trunk or Treat start at 6:30 and last until 8:30.
Have you ever heard of the Haunted Band Room? SHS band students create a an awesome experience for those looking to get a little scared on Halloween week. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Haunted Band Room will be open from 6:30-9:30. On Halloween night it will be open until 10:00. Participants enter the Haunted Band Room on W. 6th st. Admission cost is just $10.
Wednsday night First Baptist Church will hold its fall festival from 6:00-8:00.
On Halloween, Starbucks will host a pumpkin carving contest from 4:00 – 6:00. All pumpkins need to be entered by 5:15. The winner will be announced at 6:00.
Also on Halloween, Sylacauga First Assembly of God will hold its fall festival.from 5:30 – 7:30.
The Sylacauga Fall Festival will be at Noble Park from 6:00-8:00 on Halloween night.
Trick or treating is always the highlight of Halloween, and Sylacauga might have one of the best in the state. Taylor Estates is packed with children trick or treating every year, and its residence are kind enough to play along as hundreds, if not thousands, of kids from the community flock to the area for endless candy. Trick or treating normally starts just before dark and lasts until the candy is gone.
