SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga baseball is rolling.
The Aggies, winners of seven of the last eight games, just swept Ramsay in round one of the Class 5A state baseball playoffs.
In the series, Sylacauga’s pitching was dominant. The Aggies’ pitching staff gave up no runs in the series that featured Grant Walker as the starting pitcher in game one and senior Tyler Thompson in game two. The Aggies won game one 5-0 and finished off game two in 17-0.
Junior Jordan Ridgeway knocked three homeruns in the series. Senior Brady Davis had a three-run blast of his own.
Next, the Aggies go on the road to St. Paul’s in Mobile for round two.
