SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga City Schools Foundation presented its 59th Foundation Chair honoring Jerry Fielding and his family.
The Foundation Chair recognizes patrons who, exemplifying the highest level of involvement and support, have donated a minimum contribution of $25,000.
Fielding and his family have always been strong supporters of public education and Sylacauga City Schools.
“We are extremely honored on behalf of the Sylacauga City Schools Foundation to present the chair in honor of the Fielding family,” said Sylacauga City Schools Foundation President, Lynn Hodges.
The Sylacauga City Schools Foundation was created in 1988 by superintendent Dr. Joe Morton and is dedicated to the support of Sylacauga schools in their quest for excellence. Each year the Foundation awards thousands of dollars in classroom grants to support learning, and has given over $1.2 million in grants since its inception. The Sylacauga City Schools Foundation is dedicated to enhancing and supplementing the educational needs of students.
