[WATCH] Sylacauga City Council meets for first time in October

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga City Council met at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday night, Oct. 3, with a work session prior to the meeting at 5:00 p.m.

At the council meeting, Mayor Jim Heigl proclaimed October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout Sylacauga.

A public hearing was scheduled for the annexation of property located at 23 Tuscaloosa Ave., zoned MX-2. The hearing will be held on Nov. 21.

The city council approved September Accounts Payable invoices in the amount of $22,941.66 and October Accounts Payable invoices in the amount of $8,495.80.

The next Sylacauga City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 6:00 p.m.
