SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga City Council convened Tuesday night, Dec. 5, for a scheduled meeting at 6:00 p.m. with a work session prior at 4:00 p.m.
At the meeting, Mayor Jim Heigl and the city council recognized and congratulated Sylacauga Parks and Recreation’s seventh and eighth grade girls’ volleyball state championship winners.
The council went on to approve the 020 – Restaurant Liquor application from Dan Ping Zou, owner of Shogun Hibachi Sushi and Seafood Inc, located at 601 W Ft. Williams St.
The city council tabled two agenda items for the city-wide department pay plan and the new appointment to the Board of Education to future meetings.
The pay plan will be addressed at the next meeting which is set to take place on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 6:00 p.m.
