SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Horseless Carriage Club of America (HCCA) has arrived for its 71st annual tour in Sylacauga, taking place from Monday, July 10 to Friday, July 14.
This event, organized and brought to Sylacauga by tour chairman Stevie Wyatt, promises a week filled with historic vehicles and unforgettable experiences.
The HCCA, known for its dedication to preserving and touring ancient vehicles, has brought together enthusiasts and car collectors from across the nation.
The week-long tour of Sylacauga and the surrounding area features daily itineraries packed with exciting activities.
On Monday, participants enjoyed a welcome at Blue Bell Creameries, followed by visits to the marble quarry overlook and Pursell Farms.
Tuesday includes tours of Horseshoe Bend National Military Park, Wellborn Muscle Car Museum, and a Ford Model A commercial vehicle collection.
Wednesday offers a visit to the NASCAR Talladega Superspeedway and the International Motorsports Hall of Fame, followed with a stop at the Kymulga Grist Mill and Covered Bridge.
Thursday’s itinerary includes trips of the Alabama National Military Cemetery, the American Village Citizenship Trust, and the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum.
The final day, Friday, features a visit to the Barber Motorcycle Museum and Racetrack in Leeds, followed by fellowship at the Bass Pro Shop pavilion and shopping at the Bass Pro Shop and outlet mall, and to close out the week, a banquet held at the J. Craig Smith Community Center.
Safety is a priority during the tour, and Merkel’s Towing will accompany the group each day with flashing lights to ensure assistance is readily available.
