[WATCH] Blue Bell brings back fan-favorite Groom’s Cake flavor

SHARE NOW

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Wedding-themed ice cream is back on retailer shelves as Blue Bell Creameries has re-released its popular Groom’s Cake flavor, beginning Thursday, May 1.

Blue Bell is rolling out the long-awaited treat at grocery stores nationwide. Groom’s Cake features milk chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake pieces, chocolate-covered strawberry hearts, strawberry sauce, and chocolate icing.

The fan-favorite returned after winning “The Great Scoop Revival Flavor Tournament,” a March Madness-style contest where fans voted on 16 discontinued flavors.

Groom’s Cake was crowned champion on July 1, 2024, beating out competitors like Strawberry Cheesecake, Tiramisu, and Triple Chocolate, among others.

However, Blue Bell isn’t stopping at just one nostalgic comeback.

The tournament runner-up, Cookie Cake, is also making its return later this month. It blends sweet cream ice cream with chocolate chip cookie cake pieces, along with chocolate and vanilla icing.

In a surprise twist, Bride’s Cake — a flavor not included in the competition — is also back. The almond ice cream includes white cake pieces and amaretto cream cheese icing swirls. It hit shelves alongside Groom’s Cake on May 1.

Fans are encouraged to grab the limited-time offerings while they last.
