SYLACAUGA, Ala. – November’s general election is less than a month away, and the voter registration deadline is nearing.
According to Alabama law, those wishing to vote in an election must be registered to vote two weeks prior to an election. In this case, the deadline is Oct. 22.
To register, potential voters must meet the following qualifications:
- You must be an American citizen
- You must love in Alabama
- All voters must be 18 years of age
- You must not have any legal disqualification such as a felony charge that will disqualify you
If you have yet to register, you can do so on the Alabama Electronic Voter Registration Application website. You can use the site to submit an application for voter registration or to submit an update to your registration information.
You can also register with your county Board of Registrars.
