Proposed bridge over the Coosa River connecting Talladega and Shelby Counties

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Coosa River Express has been a highly debated topic in Talladega and Shelby counties.

Last week the Talladega County Commission unanimously approved issuing a license to Tim James, Inc. (TJI) for the purpose of construction and operation of a toll bridge (Coosa River Express) across the Coosa River.

The project still awaits approval from Shelby Co.
