WETUMPKA, Ala. – There are so many things you would expect to see in a basketball game featuring five year-old children. Double dribbles, travels, fouls, players running in the wrong direction, and shooting in the wrong hoop are all things that come to mind.
But at the Y.M.C.A. in Wetumpka, you might get a chance to see a little more skill, especially from fice year-old Carter Hicks.
In a game last week, Hicks channeled his inner LeBron James with a nice drive to the rim that finished with a thunderous two-handed slam.
Yes, you read that right.
A five year-old dunked. In a real game.
Boom.

So does Carter plan on having a career in basketball as an adult? That remains to be seen. His parents say they teach Carter he can do anything he puts his mind to, and if chooses to pursue basketball they know he will be successful.
