[VIDEO] Sylacauga Police Department asking for public’s help in identifying arson suspect

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – On Thursday morning, June 27, an unidentified man accompanied by a dog is alleged to have started a fire in an abandoned building at 3 W 1st St. near the RadioAlabama studios.

The Sylacauga Police Department is searching to find a man responsible for attempted arson which occurred at around 6:48 a.m.

In the video below, you can see a man dressed in a blue hoodie and cargo shorts walk towards the building with a gas can. Once away from video surveillance, it appears the man starts a fire and then quickly vacates the premises with a black dog.

As the pair leave, smoke begins to rise from the building.

Although employees of RadioAlabama were present at the time of incident, no one was harmed.
