CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg Tigers will be back on the gridiron tomorrow night.
The Tigers will face Helena High School Friday night at 7:00 at Childersburg High School’S John W. Cox Stadium.
The Tigers have worked hard this spring and hope to see the effort translate to the field in a game situation.
I have seen a tremendous spark in spring and seen a lot of guys take ownership,” Beverly said. “The seniors coming back were were disappointed last season and want to get back to the playoffs.”
Last season, Childersburg finished 3-7 and missed the playoffs in Beverly’s third season as head coach.
The Tigers will have to replace much of its fire power on offense including quarterback Austin Douglas.
“Cameron Thrash has come along and done a really good job for us at quarterback,” said Beverly. “He was our top receiver last year, but it has been a smooth transition to QB.”
Tiger Sports Network play-by-play announcer David McCurley met with Beverly to discuss the Tigers’ spring finale.
