SYLACAUGA, Ala. – In July 2018, Kurt Bowman became the general manager at Vaden Toyota on Hwy. 280. Since then, Bowman has made it a point to give back to Sylacauga City Schools.
As his time in Sylacauga began, Bowman was searching for an avenue to give back. After meeting with Carol Sprayberry, executive director of the Sylacauga City Schools Foundation, Bowman decided the foundation would be his best bet.
From then on, Bowman agreed to give $25 to the Sylacauga City Schools Foundation every time a new or used car was sold on his lot.
The money given back since then is impressive. Since August, Vaden has donated over $7,500.
- August Sales = $1,225
- September Sales = $1,325
- October Sales = $1,025
- November Sales = $1,125
- December Sales = $1,100
- January Sales = $1,750
Bowman and Vaden Toyota have committed to partner with the foundation through 2019. All monies received is going directly into the Math Initiative system wide for supplies, books and more.
