SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Former Auburn head football coach and U.S. Senate candidate Tommy Tuberville will make a special stop in Talladega Co. Friday night.
August’s BBQ will host Coach Tuberville from 5-7 p.m. that night as an opportunity for people to come and hear the Tuberville campaign message.
Tuberville’s communication director, Jordan Doufexis, told SylacaugaNews.com the visit will be more of a rally than a traditional forum. People will be able to ask questions and meet and greet with Tuberville. “He will talk with anyone there and take pictures with anyone there. Being in Alabama, he’s not a politician. He will always be ‘Coach’,” Doufexis said.
Tuberville will focus on the reasons he is running for the Senate seat, which is focusing on Alabama values and fundamentals that he believes the current seat holder has gotten away from.
With the November election coming down the stretch, the Tuberville campaign feels confident where it sits today.
“Coach is a winner and the response he gets is reflective of that. With him, it’s about more than politics. We feel good about the campaign where it’s at,” Doufexis closed.
The event is free for anyone who wishes to attend, but people are encouraged to RSVP on the campaign’s Facebook page.
