TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Two people have been arrested in Talladega County in connection with the alleged torture and abuse of three young girls, authorities said.
Davon Scott Burtan, 29, and Felicia Don Gates, 26, were taken into custody on Friday, Dec. 6, and are being held on $15,000 bond each, according to the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO).
The pair is accused of abusing the girls, ages 8, 5, and 3, between the dates of Nov. 22 and Dec. 2.
Investigators have not disclosed further details of the alleged abuse, and the case remains under investigation.
Officials said additional charges could be filed as the investigation continues.
