Two hospitalized at CVMC for COVID-19

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Two people are currently hospitalized at Coosa Valley Medical Center for COVID-19.

The hospital says it has conducted 108 COVID-19 tests with 13 testing positive.

CVMC will continue sharing COVID-19 information daily to help keep our community informed. CVMC continues to care for patients while strictly adhering to CDC guidelines for those patients who are being tested and/or treated for COVID-19.

CVMC asks the public to remember its Emergency Department as well as all other outpatient areas are still open for your healthcare needs. CVMC says it has implemented safe, various ways to make sure your healthcare is not interrupted during this time.  Keep your appointment, or, if you need medical care, please seek it. Your health is important, now, more than ever.

CVMC has implemented deep cleaning protocols in all patient care areas. CVMC team members are actively following meticulous infection control practices including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.

CVMC has continued to test patients who have active symptoms relative to COVID-19 and remain prepared to provide care to any patient testing positively. Please be reminded that the hospital continues to be a safe place for all patients needing care.

We choose to stay at work for you. We encourage you to stay home if you’re able to do so. Please continue to take every possible precaution to aid in stopping the spread of this virus. Wash your hands with soap and water often. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer. If you have to go out, please practice social distancing.
