SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Coosa Valley Medical Center reports two COVID-19 hospitalizations in its daily release to the media.
The hospital says it has conducted 85 tests but not all have been resulted. Six outpatients confirmed positive for COVID-19 have been advised to immediately quarantine at home. Three inpatients that tested positive have been discharged and advised to immediately quarantine at home.
CVMC has implemented deep cleaning protocols in all patient care areas. CVMC team members are actively following meticulous infection control practices including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.
CVMC has continued to test patients who have active symptoms relative to COVID-19, and remain prepared to provide care to any patient testing positively. CVMC says that the hospital continues to be a safe place for all patients needing care.
The state has over 4,000 confirmed cases of the virus and 118 reported deaths. There have been 525 hospitalizations.
Talladega Co. has 38 confirmed cases and one reported death.
