SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Lily Frances Price and Jonas Scofield, graduates of Sylacauga High School’s class of 2023, have been appointed as representatives for their respective colleges in the University of Alabama’s Student Government Association (SGA) Senate.
The University of Alabama’s SGA Senate advocates for students’ interests, ensuring their voices are heard in university decisions while safeguarding student self-governance rights.
Price is a secondary education and English language arts major in the College of Education.
Her goals with Alabama’s SGA are to enhance academic initiatives, foster statewide partnerships, and advance the education profession. Her platform emphasizes service, support, and scholarship, drawing from her experience as SGA president, valedictorian, and various leadership roles at Sylacauga High School.
Scofield, a College of Business student, prioritizes intellectual inclusion, community engagement, fitness, and service through proposed legislation.
His extensive involvement in campus organizations at Sylacauga High School reflects his commitment to leadership and service.
