ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. – Central Alabama Community College (CACC) recently commended its outstanding student-athletes for their achievements as they were honored as members of the NJCAA All-Academic teams.
This recognition underscores the remarkable synergy between athletics and academics within the Trojan sports teams.
Among the First Team honorees were Bryant Armstrong in golf, Macks Bishop and Ty Smith in baseball, Jordan Henderson, Kelbi Johnson, and Brooke Milner in softball, and Lily Truchet and Blakely Valdez in tennis.
Securing Second Team distinctions were Jadyn Buff and Campbell Hecklinski in softball, Cian Hughes and Ben Ritenour in golf, and Tucker Starling in baseball.
The Third Team selections included Cahley Acreman, Leah Patterson, and Kristin Wilson in softball, Bryce Calloway, Matt Johnson, and Anthony Patterson in baseball, and Elad Sebbag in golf.
President Jeff Lynn expressed his pride, stating, “At CACC, we believe in nurturing the holistic growth of our students. These student-athletes are shining examples of what one can achieve with dedication, passion, and perseverance. We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments.”
Athletic Director Steve Lewis added, “Balancing academic responsibilities with athletic commitments is no easy feat. The students named to the NJCAA All-Academic Teams exemplify what it means to be a Trojan athlete. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work and the support of the CACC community.”
