Tragic single-vehicle incident in Talladega County claims life of pedestrian near Lincoln

LINCOLN, Ala. – A single-vehicle incident on Thursday evening, May 25, claimed the life of a 23-year-old pedestrian from Talladega.

The accident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Hwy 77, just one mile south of Lincoln.

Tontavious D. Curry was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a 2014 Mercedes GLK 350 driven by Jeremy Wilson, a 40-year-old resident of Sylacauga.

Curry was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is currently investigating the accident, and no further details have been released at this time.
