Tragic motorcycle accident claims life of 20-year-old Sylacauga man

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – A tragic crash on Sunday, Dec. 24, involving a motorcyclist claimed the life of a 20-year-old Sylacauga man.

Gabriel L. Satterfield suffered critical injuries when the 2023 Kawasaki ZX636 motorcycle he was operating veered off Cedar Creek Rd., striking a tree approximately 13 miles west of Sylacauga in Talladega County.

Emergency responders rushed him to Coosa Valley Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division troopers are still investigating the incident which occurred around 2:20 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
