SYLACAUGA, Ala. – A 48-year-old Sylacauga woman, Sabrina Nicole Sanders, is facing multiple felony charges following a traffic stop that authorities say led to the discovery of methamphetamine both at the scene and later inside the Talladega County Jail.

According to Talladega County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force Commander Mike Roberson, officers were monitoring a location in Sylacauga last weekend that had been flagged for suspected drug activity.

During surveillance, an officer observed what appeared to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction involving a woman later identified as Sanders.

Sanders has been charged by the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Promoting Prison Contraband, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
