SYLACAUGA, Ala. – After presenting their sales check for the month of May to the Sylacauga City Schools (SCS) Foundation Wednesday afternoon, Toyota of Sylacauga has now officially reached Chair status with the Foundation.
To achieve Chair status, a person, business, or organization has to donate $25,000 to the SCS Foundation. Before the presentation of the May check, the automobile dealership had given $24,690 in total.
Since January 2021, Toyota of Sylacauga has committed to donating $30 for every new car sold off of the lot. For May, Toyota sold 53 new vehicles which brought the sales check total to $1,590.
“Our local Foundation is so grateful to Chris Cain (General Manager), Amanda Reese Gardner (Office Manager), Bubby Mukes (General Sales Manager), and the outstanding sales team for this valued partnership that has been a major factor in the improvement of education,” said Executive Director of the SCS Foundation, Carol Sprayberry. “Their commitment and involvement in the educational process of our students provide additional funding that supplements in areas not available otherwise.”
The SCS Foundation uses these funds to provide teachers and students with new equipment and supplies to help improve classrooms and the learning process that goes on in them.
