SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga’s newest beauty salon, Touched By Jazze, hosted its ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday.

Touched By Jazze started its partnership with the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce back in March, before COVID-19 put things on hold.

“I am super excited,” said owner Shanalda Darby. “This has been a dream come true for me. I graduated high school in 1998 and went to cosmetology school in 1999 and went back in 2016. When I graduated in 2018, that’s when I went further and decided it was time for me to open my own business. I have worked in a couple of salons but being here today saying Touched By Jazze is mine, is a blessing for me and my family.”

Touched By Jazee is open Tuesday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located at 230 East 3rd St. in Sylacauga.
