SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Each year, Chick-fil-A awards two types of remarkable scholarships to restaurant employees.

Each scholarship recognizes employees for their hard work and dedication to Chick-fil-A and community. Scholarships can be used at any accredited two- or four-year college, university, or technical/vocational school.

This year, three employees from Chick-Fil-A Sylacauga were recipients of the $2,500 Leadership Scholarship.

Cassidy Colwell plans to attend Jacksonville State University to pursue a degree in Social Work. Colwell isn’t the only member of the Chick-Fil-A Sylacauga family that plans to attend JSU. Natalie Johnson, also a recipient of the this year’s Leadership Scholarship plans to attend JSU and pursue a degree in Elementary Education. While Colwell and Johnson will be continuing their education in east Alabama, Mallory Allen plans to continue her education at the University of North Alabama, where she plans to pursue a degree in Nursing.

“I am so proud of how hard these team members worked to be selected for the scholarship,” said Chick-Fil-A Sylacauga Franchisee, Micah Harris. “It’s very competitive, and the fact they were selected speaks volumes about who they are and how they contribute to our community. I’ve had the privilege to present this $2,500 scholarship to more than eight people since we opened three years ago.”
