Three arrested on drug-related charges in Talladega County

TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Three people were arrested early Tuesday morning, May 19 on multiple drug-related charges in Talladega County, according to the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the arrests involve charges including possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Among those arrested was 60-year-old Steven Fitzgerald Wilson, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and 12 counts of failure to appear for negotiating a worthless instrument.

Terracis Yokiea Averiett, 39, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and second-degree possession of marijuana.

Samuel Dates, 55, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
