CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – It’s a Childersburg tradition to paint downtown windows for the Christmas season, but this year a special twist is being added – kids!
Elementary students, grades Kindergarten through Sixth Grade, are invited to participate in “Paint The Town,” a downtown Childersburg Christmas window painting event. Children will be assigned a pre-drawn window drawing to paint at one of several downtown businesses.
All materials needed and instruction will be provided. Your child will receive an “I Painted the Town” t-shirt, an apron, and a grab bag included in event price of $40.
The downtown streets do get busy, so a parent is required to accompany the child to the assigned window for the duration of the event. Event duration is approximately one to two hours maximum.
The deadline for registration is Saturday, Oct. 5. Event paint dates are also Saturdays on Oct. 19 and 26 starting at 10:00 a.m. If there is a great response, an additional paint date of Nov. 2 will be added.
