SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Creative fall fun is right around the corner as the Third Annual Scarecrow Light Pole Decorating Contest kicks off this month.
Whether you’re a business owner, an individual, part of an organization, or a club, this contest, put on by the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce, is for you.
To join the festive competition, simply register and pay the $15 entry fee. The poles will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis by the Chamber.
Decorations should be up by Monday, Oct. 9 and taken down no later than Saturday, Nov. 4.
There are two categories for winners: the People’s Choice, determined by online voting from the public, and the Committee’s Choice, selected by Chamber volunteers. Each victor will receive $75 in Chamber Bucks, redeemable at participating Chamber Member businesses.
