SYLACAUGA, Ala. – RadioAlabama’s MIX 106.5 & KiX 100.3 are highlighting the Best of the Coosa Valley, our tribute to the region’s finest. It’s up to MIX 106.5 and KiX 100.3 listeners to decide who is the best of the best.
Who tops the list? Listeners and readers will weigh-in by nominating their favorites and then voting on the top three finalists in each category. The winners will be recognized at the beginning of May.
RadioAlabama’s third annual “Best of the Coosa Valley” awards are a roadmap to the best businesses, service providers, and community members along the U.S. Hwy 280 corridor chosen by the residents and patrons who rely on them.
“We’re grateful to the businesses in our community for and to everyone who voted on the Best of the Coosa Valley,” said Michael Brannon, Executive Vice President of RadioAlabama. “The second campaign was a monumental success last year with more than double the amount of nominations from the first edition.”
Over 100,000 votes were tallied for 2022’s Best of the Coosa Valley, and that number is expected to grow this year.
Businesses! You’ve poured everything into making your business the best it can be. You know your business is the best in its class. But does everyone else?
HOW IT WORKS:
Listeners will be invited to nominate what they believe to be the best ______ in multiple groups/categories for a period of several weeks. (Round 1: Jan. 23, 2023 – Feb. 10, 2023)
There are eight groups including:
- Arts & Entertainment
- Automotive
- Food & Dining
- Health & Fitness
- Local
- Shopping & Services
- Sports & Recreation
- Pets
Within those groups, there are more than 125 categories including:
- Breakfast
- Hamburger
- Car Wash
- Heating and Air Conditioning
- Entertainment Venue
- Nursing Home
- Church/Place of Worship
- Place to Buy a New Car
- Park
After the nomination window has closed, the top three nominations from each category will move to the next round and voting will take place. (Round 2: March 13, 2023 – March 31, 2023)
Once voting comes to a close, the winners of the Best of the Coosa Valley for 2023 will be revealed on May 1.
If you needed any more reason to vote, one lucky voter will receive a big screen Smart LED TV.
