TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – First, the Talladega County Republican Party announced the qualifying process for running in county races, starting this week. Now, an event schedule has come out that will allow voters to hear from 2026 candidates.
The Executive Committee Meeting and Quarterly General Membership Meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 19 from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ridge Pointe Event Venue, located at 4869 Plant Rd. in Alpine.
That gathering will feature special guest speakers and an opportunity to hear directly from state leaders and candidates in preparation for the 2026 election cycle. Those speakers include:
Attorney General Steve Marshall, a candidate for U.S. Senate, will serve as Keynote Speaker.
Marie Manning, State Board of Education, District 6 Incumbent, will address the current state of education in Alabama.
Plus, the 2026 candidate speakers for county offices will share their campaign priorities and vision.
There will also be an Executive Committee Meeting, open to general members and guests, featuring more statewide leaders and local candidates prior to the 2026 election cycle. That will take place on Thursday, March 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 75 Mitchell St. in Munford. The speaker line-up is headlined by Wes Allen, Alabama Secretary of State and a candidate for Lieutenant Governor, as the Keynote Speaker.
