CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg Police Department recently disclosed information about an scam investigation that began when a local Childersburg business was approached by a man offering to do an asphalt job at a reduced rate.

The police department has identified the person responsible as using the fictitious name “Johnny Little,” who has a long history of attempting these exact same type of scams across the country.

The man claims he has leftover paving material from a job just completed. When, and if, the job is completed, the work is subpar, often done at a significantly higher cost, and that higher amount is demanded for the work.

The man known as “Johnny Little” was said to be driving a gray Chevrolet Silverado.

The Childersburg Police Department scam alert says that if you come into contact with this person, please call 911 immediately.
