SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Police Department is investigating the shooting death of Casey Nicole Kizer, a 17-year-old female from Hoover, just before midnight on Wednesday.
The 9-1-1 caller, identified as a friend, told dispatchers that Kizer had been shot and was being taken to Coosa Valley Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
SPD officers responded, and investigators worked through the night. The case is still under investigation.
